CHAIN OF CUSTODY COMMITMENT STATEMENT

The Management of AGRpriority has decided to implement a Chain of Custody Management System in accordance with the FSC-STD-40-004 V3-1 standard for the products manufactured by the company.

The Chain of Custody system in place sets out all the management and production requirements for controlling the chain of custody, labelling and sale of certified products. It involves assessing forest products from the tree through to the finished product, including every stage of processing, transformation, manufacture and handling. This helps verify that the paper used comes from sustainably managed forests.

AGRpriority declares that it is not directly or indirectly involved in any of the following:

​

• Illegal logging or the trade in illegal timber or forest products;

• Violations of traditional and human rights in forestry operations;

​

• The destruction of high conservation values in forestry operations;

​

• The significant conversion of forests to plantations or other uses;

​

• The introduction of genetically modified organisms in forestry operations;

​

• Violations of any of the ILO Fundamental Conventions, as defined in the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work (1998), specifically:

  • Preventing workers from freely associating, choosing their representatives or collectively bargaining with the company;

  • Using forced labour;

  • Employing workers below the legal minimum age of 15, or below the minimum school-leaving age where that is higher;

  • Preventing equal opportunities and treatment for workers;

  • Working conditions that endanger workers’ safety or health.
